1km — i may be having a heart attack

In my decade long running career, I have run faster and further before, but the way my heart is hearting is a complete novelty, and as you know — the ways of God are not the ways of man … it is a pity to go like this

2km — not a heart attack but still

Technically, a heart attack is an attack, so if I am still on my feet “running”, then it is probably not a heart attack. But still, this makes no sense. Running , in general — makes no sense also, all things considered.

3km — oh it’s hot out here though — neutrality

This tropical weather is another indignity carefully concocted in the special brewery for African Problems. It is inconceivable to me, that such heat can serve any earthly good, unless to prepare us for the ultimate cauldron of Lucifer.

4km — ah . Surprise Surprise

Okay, That came by relatively quickly. I guess if I am being totally honest this isn’t too bad. I like the sound my feet make when they hit the tarmac. Like a scrambled radio frequency, except for a fraction of a second.

5km — halfway house

if I run the next half in under 30 mins this could be a PB and Strava will send me a feast of graphics dancing on the screen to validate my efforts at life. Funny to think Strava is actually not a kindly Swedish retired athlete but basically an algorithm. I don’t care, it is still worth it.

6km — blissful eruption (not like that)

The endorphins. The most predictable and reliable hormones. These guys don’t miss. Right on Cue. This may be better than the real thing.

7km — love & light

Running is God’s message of love to us. The only path to world peace is if we all become runners

8km -emotional rupture

The World as One. United in Bonds of Love and Happiness. Running for President

9km — delusion

Kipchoge better watch his back, the way I am going, these scouts will be trying all sorts with me soon. Is it still a delusion if I know it is impossible but choose to imagine it all the same

10km — King of the World

I am limitless, and boundless. There’s nothing I can’t do. I need to call the broker guy because a runner like me needs a plot of land — and a new car is the only logical next step. I will also need to get more involved in local politics — I have to be a part of making change happen. But let me start with this Javas Breakfast. Can’t change the world on an empty stomach and that.
